5001 Axolotls

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

5001 Axolotls is a single-player game. It does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not include any advertising or analytics software.

What the app stores

The only information the app saves is your language preference, kept on your own device (via browser localStorage on the web version, or the equivalent app-local storage in the iOS/Android apps). This is never sent anywhere — it just lets the app remember your choice the next time you open it. Nothing else about you or your device is recorded.

Network access

The app fetches its own static game files (sound effects, pre-recorded speech clips, translated text) from its own server as you play, purely to load game content — never to send any information about you. No third-party services, ad networks, or tracking SDKs are contacted at any point.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

Open source & credits

5001 Axolotls is built on three.js and Capacitor, both released under the MIT License by their respective authors.

Translated text is generated with MyMemory Translated.net and Argos Translate. Spoken audio is rendered with Microsoft Edge's neural voices, eSpeak NG, and a REYD FastSpeech2 + HiFi-GAN model for Yiddish.
